| I became a corporate database programmer not long after I got my Radio Shack Color Computer and began using my cassette tape recorder for my 'hard drive' storage. My left-to-right 9pin dot matrix Dekwriter floor printer shook the floor on every retrace. My monitor was black and white and text only. <gulp>
I'm a detective when it comes to records, reviews, responses etc. I'm more of a blogger than a forum fan. So I'm learning more each day about forums and how 'to behave'. <grin>
Now I'm very grateful for the sponsors and the admin people that keep uthleader.com in business, and I feel it is a God-given resource we should not be too casual with.
The nagging question I have as I look at the thread stats in the views and comments columns is... are we doing something slightly wrong? Can we actually be creating a thread so needed and perfect that over 600 people look at the thread and less than a dozen leave a comment pro, con, or 'and then you could...'? Tell me what makes the split so very large. The reason can't be just the thread theme, because there are quite a few that are like that.
Teach this ol' computer programmer how we make this site a powerhouse of needed helps, unlike anything else on the web.

| Brother Gramps,
I thank you for your participation in this site. Your enthusiasm is encouraging. The idea behind this site is to offer a community to IFB youth workers, where they use resources for free and submit resources to be used free.
Unfortunately, the real truth of the matter is that the IFB movement is fragmented in many ways and on top of being fragmented, we have a tendency to try to turn all ministry endeavors into a money making industry.
In some respects, my ideology on free has been a downfall. This has always been a passion of mine to help IFB youth workers, but it costs money to run this site, to promote it, etc.
Many IFB youth workers also are very committed to their "camps" and are a little hesitant to respond or participate if they don't agree with every jot and tittle that someone else posts.
That's my opinion... I would love to hear from others.
