Lift up the cross of Christ and HE will draw all men to Him.

Relationships are very important in Youth Ministry, in fact the most important relationship in Youth Ministry is YOUR relationship to Christ. Spend a lot of time with Him, not just a few minutes in Psalms and Proverbs and a quick prayer “for God’s will”.

Youth Ministry should be Youth MINISTERING, teaching others to follow Christ and lead others to Him. While your at it, follow Christ and lead others to Him yourself.

Read the rest of "21 Tips for Youth Leaders."

Discuss it in the forums.

Salvia: A Legal Drug Used By Some Teens to Get High

Along with the "New Age" spiritualist movement that is present in today's culture is the ever growing trend to use "spiritualistic herbs" which are nothing more than mind altering drugs. Salvia is a type of "sage" but it's different than the seasoning herb. It is known as "Diviner's Sage" also.

Salvia is an herb that is perfectly legal in California and is the drug of choice for some teens that use it to get high. The herb comes from Mexico where it is used as a spiritual herb for enlightenment. Because the drug is legal, it is easy for teens to get right here in the Valley.

Salvia is sold at several smoke shops in the Fresno area including Phat Manz Alley in Clovis. Owner Rick Zimmermann claims he can not sell Salvia as a psycho-active drug but instead sells it as incense for spiritual healing. He does not recommend anyone smoke this product as it is not intended for that use.

The the rest here.

Read more about Salvia here.
